Random Brass Shelf

A fully functional wall shelf with a working lamp built underneath — wired by looping the cord through the reclaimed wood slab itself. The spalted live-edge top is one of the most striking pieces of wood in the entire Random Brass catalog. Brass lamp hardware cradles an Edison filament bulb beneath it, casting warm light down the wall.

All lamp parts. Hand-carved reclaimed wood. Fully functional. The only Random Brass piece that's also furniture.

The reclaimed wood base of this piece was sourced from Custom Cut Remodeling, a local woodworking shop in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Every Random Brass base is hand-carved by Sean from reclaimed material — wood that already had a life before it became part of a sculpture.
